As an Engineering Professional you will provide technology enabled solutions to internal and/or external customers, in a range of areas including software engineering, network infrastructure and cyber security analysis.
You will also enable the businesses to develop new products and services, using digital technologies.
During this four-year Degree Apprenticeship you will be trained to take responsibility for the development, installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems across the business whilst ensuring the highest level of quality and service. Alongside this, you will study for a degree that will grow your knowledge and competence around the technologies used in your placements.
We pride ourselves on employing the best professionals around and offer significant opportunities for committed employees to learn and grow with us. Our people are encouraged to be as creative as they can be and are always looking at ways to develop and challenge the way we do things, identifying and prioritising continuous improvement activities across the business.
We are recruiting apprentices to work in the Naval Ships Combat Systems part of the business and welcome applications for our sites in Portsmouth, New Malden and Frimley.
During this Degree Apprenticeship some of the work placements will also require you to rotate to different sites in the southern region, enabling you to experience different disciplines and projects.
As part of our UK Maritime Sector, Naval Ships Combat Systems designs, develops, integrates and supports combat systems which are in operation in more than 20 countries around the world. This technology is vital in providing crew members with the information and capabilities they need to operate effectively, whether protecting the world’s shipping lanes or providing humanitarian relief.
For more than 30 years we have provided navies around the globe with mission-critical capabilities across a range of platforms – from mine counter measure and offshore patrol vessels to destroyers and aircraft carriers – and proudly support those platforms through our integration and support services teams.
We intend to build on our rich heritage. Our world class engineers are already working on the systems of the future that we believe will transform our products and services, the ships they support, and the missions they carry out.
We’re always looking to the future and we are committed to investing in our people to help them realise their career potential in an exciting and vibrant environment, working with the best talent in the industry.
Join us and the projects you’ll be involved in will form the backbone of the Royal Navy for decades to come. You'll be part of something important; something you can be proud of.
