About Aegis Energy:

At Aegis Energy, we are accelerating the decarbonisation of commercial transport in the UK. Our mission is to develop a network of over 50 clean energy hubs, supporting the needs of commercial fleets with low/zero-emission energies including electric charging, HVO, bio-CNG, and Hydrogen. We focus on meeting the demands of the commercial vehicle sector.

Transport accounts for 27% of CO2 emissions in the UK. Commercial vehicles (CVs) produce 38% of this, with heavy and light goods vehicles (HGVs, LGVs) accounting for 20% and 18% respectively. Aegis will play a significant role in the UK’s energy transition by providing essential clean energy infrastructure at purpose-built, public hubs to CV fleets across the UK.

About the role:

We’re seeking a proactive individual to join our TechOps team. The Aegis TechOps team bridges the technical and operational workstreams of running our sites, ensuring integration between systems and people run smoothly behind the scenes. We are looking to onboard someone with a technical mindset and sharp attention to detail, not to own the product decisions or write the code, but to make sure the right things are tracked, the right people are unblocked, and the team always knows what’s on track and what isn’t.

You’ll sit across the tech team and work closely with operations colleagues, supporting a seamless integration of systems, infrastructure, people and processes.

It’s a delivery role with real responsibility from day one. You’ll own the TechOps progress tracker and milestones, run the weekly status cycle, and flag risks before they become problems. If you’re someone who gets satisfaction from bringing order to complexity, wants to upskill in systems integration, and is a creative problem solver, this is the job for you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the tech programme tracker: milestones, budget lines, and dependency map across all active workstreams and systems.
  • Run the weekly status cycle and support the existing weekly team meetings to log actions, track progress and keep everyone aligned.
  • Map and monitor cross-team and cross-system dependencies: knowing who is waiting on whom and chasing what’s blocking progress.
  • Support with stakeholder management and progress monitoring with key suppliers and partners to support product development and data analysis.
  • Spot process gaps and fix them: if something is falling through the cracks, your job is to notice and sort it.
  • Use AI tools to automate routine reporting and build workflows that save the team time.

You’ll thrive here if:

  • You are a systems thinker who thrives in supporting a system come together and who notices and tracks dependencies and knock-on effects that others may miss.
  • Organised and structured by instinct: someone who brings clarity to messy situations without being asked, and who is passionate about making complex systems understandable, accessible and usable.
  • Have strong Excel skills and are comfortable building and maintaining spreadsheets
  • Are curious about automation and leverages AI to make repetitive work faster and more reliable
  • Take a problem from A to B with limited handholding, being able to effectively report on the outcome
  • Are proactive, independent and adaptable, and work well across different teams and communication styles
