UK Ethics & Compliance Placement (12.5 months)

You will be joining the Commercial Aircraft Ethics & Compliance (LMO) department, a dynamic international team of Ethics & Compliance attorneys and other professionals committed to ensuring that Airbus conducts its business with honesty and integrity in accordance with applicable law. We support by promoting an ethical and compliant culture across the Commercial Aircraft business and its affiliated companies in the UK and beyond.

What you will be doing:

You will be providing critical support to the UK E&C Manager and the broader Commercial Aircraft Ethics & Compliance for operations in the UK, France, Germany and Spain. You may also provide support to the UK Legal team as needed or if you are interested. Your support would include:

• Research and analysis of legal, regulatory and enforcement developments in the UK regarding anti-corruption, anti-bribery, fraud and other legal and compliance topics;
• Support the UK E&C Manager in the promotion of a strong Ethics & Compliance / Speak Up culture, including conducting investigations, providing training and awareness, and preparing updates and reports to senior management and other key local stakeholders; 
• Support the UK E&C Manager in the development and implementation of an engagement and communications strategy regarding ethics and compliance; 
• Travel periodically within the UK and to the Commercial Aircraft headquarters in Toulouse, France as needed; 
• Contribute to the wider activities related to deployment of the Commercial Aircraft E&C programme as needed. 

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• A degree or course of study in business law, finance, business administration or a related field with specialisation in ethics & compliance;
• Ability to work well within a diverse and international team; 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills towards diverse stakeholders
• Flexible, strategic, analytical and solution-oriented mindset.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
