Every year, over 300 graduates join Arup in the UK, ready to build on what they’ve learned at university and gain experience on real projects. Here, everyone is respected, everyone collaborates, and everyone benefits from our success.
We’ll support you as your aspirations take shape. You will be well rewarded with experience, interesting projects, profit-sharing and, most of all, a chance to make a lasting impact on the world.
In return we’ll expect you to challenge and improve how we do things, because we want to grow and change as much as you do. Whatever your area of qualification, you’ll be surprised by the range of opportunities on offer.
As a firm, we’re committed to pushing boundaries and striving for excellence, whatever field of work we operate in. We constantly challenge ourselves to do better and to remain curious about the evolving world around us.
We continue to develop ourselves by investing in research and innovation and supporting professional development through the many accredited training schemes that we offer.
As a graduate, you’ll be encouraged to pursue a professional qualification of your choice with the support of a designated mentor.
You’ll also have the support of our internal Arup University, home to hundreds of courses enhance your technical, project, client and people skills as you grow throughout your career.
Arup University also runs our annual ‘Design School’ programme. This scheme brings together graduates from across the world and a range of disciplines to help challenge and strengthen design skills.
Every year, members take part in sessions that are designed to inspire ways of working in new and inventive ways.
Working alongside a wide range of partner organisations, we use our technical and strategic capabilities to support the most disadvantaged, vulnerable and marginalised people in the world. Our community engagement programme aims to produce a more sustainably developed world, focusing on food security; clean and renewable energy; water and sanitation; improved shelter; and social mobility.
Whether it is empowering organisations tackling homelessness, designing products to improve hand washing in informal settlements or employing digital tools in disaster recovery, we constantly seek to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in the communities in which we live and work and beyond.
As a graduate you’ll be encouraged to support one of our strategic charitable partnerships, either through volunteering your time, sharing your expertise or through fundraising activities.
