Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates and students who help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities.
Arup is a leading theatre and venue design and advisory practice, and the creative team behind the design of many of the world’s most beloved cultural places. Our team works on venues for performance and visual art on a local and international scale. Our work includes theatres, concert halls, arenas, cinemas, museums and galleries, and music and film studios. We also work on audiovisual systems in offices, hotels, education, shopping centres and healthcare.
We design technical systems (stage machinery, lighting, video, audio, broadcast, digital infrastructure) and input to project vision and briefing, architectural design, operational space planning, auditorium design, and liaise with other experts to create world-class experiences. We work closely with our clients, public authorities, operators, architects, engineers and theatre staff, guiding projects from inception and planning, through design, testing and commissioning, as well as consulting on in-use operations.
For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes: A bachelor's degree in relevant academic discipline, such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths (STEM), or Theatre, Music, Arts.
Any degree. Passion for arts, culture & entertainment sector or any degree. Passion for arts, culture & entertainment sector or audio-visual design is more important and can be demonstrated through volunteer roles, part-time jobs or extracurricular activities.
We are particularly interested to hear about your drive to work in the arts, culture & entertainment sector.
But these are not a priority and can easily be taught on the job – so would be happy not to include them.
