About Mott MacDonald

We’re a global engineering, management and development consultancy.

Learning & Development

The Accelerate your future programme is built for any student and graduate to build with Mott MacDonald.

Our purpose is to improve society by considering social outcomes in everything we do, relentlessly focusing on excellence and digital innovation, transforming our clients’ businesses, our communities and employee opportunities.

A fundamental part of this is respecting each person’s differences and striving to meet their needs.

Our values: progress, respect, integrity, drive, excellence.

Water is one of the most valuable assets we have on our Earth. Production, treatment, distribution, usage, and quality of this asset is intrinsic in the way we design and work. Soil, Waste, chemical and specialist drainage systems alongside rainwater systems within building design are key to sustainability and reuse of blue and grey water systems.

Our graduate Public Health engineers are embedded into the building services design team involved in solving new challenges in digital and smart ways.

Join the team and you’ll be part of cutting edge design, minimising water and energy use and cost, while maximising performance and reliability.

Our public health engineers play pivotal roles in designing and delivering sustainable solutions. By fine tuning operation while safeguarding resilience and durability, they are constantly working to get the most from both new and existing assets.

We have roles in the following building sectors:

  • Transport: you’ll have the chance to work on rail and road developments alongside our transport team whose portfolio includes projects such as Crossrail, HS2, and the expansion of Heathrow and Stanstead airports.
  • Water: you’ll be working with specialists that have been involved in projects such as the Thames Tideway scheme in London and the Scottish Water development programme. Water is an essential part of our everyday lives, therefore our teams are responsible for water pumping solutions, clean and wastewater treatment plants, and pipelines.
  • Building Services: Our graduate building services engineers are responsible for the functional design which takes buildings from an empty shell to a functional space to live and work in. Our teams are responsible for ensuring that public health systems are robust, safe, economic, efficient, sustainable and “invisible”. health and safety requirements are key to a design – you can also apply via our dedicated Building Services Engineering career path.
