The projects that MM are involved with sounded exciting, innovative and relevant, and engineering seemed like an interesting career to follow after my degree. I was also really drawn to MM due to their values, in particular the emphasis on sustainability, as this is something I'm also passionate about.
My degree has given me a better background understanding of the projects I'm working on, meaning I appreciate how the work I do fits into the wider context. The skills that I gained from my degree are also very applicable to my role. Analytical skills, critical thinking and report writing are all skills I developed during my degree which I utilise at work every day.
There’s lots of opportunity to get involved in different networks and committees within the company. I have helped out with student work experience, creating activities for them to complete relevant to my field, which gave me a great opportunity for personal growth as well as career development.
MM are supportive of any opportunities that will help with your career development. I have been to networking events, technical conferences and are a part of several networks and institutions. MM are very supportive of me achieving chartership also.
