What made you want to apply for a Grad role with MM?
As a graduate looking to get into the industry, I was seeking opportunities that would help me develop and make progress in my career. I did my research on Mott MacDonald and saw working with Mott MacDonald was an exciting opportunity as it is a well established and a reputable company and would be the right place for my growth.
How has your degree come in useful in your work?
I have gained knowledge in identifying problems, by gathering data and opinions which has enhanced my critical thinking enabling me to make decisions and reaching good conclusions. My degree exposed me to a more significant aspect of the industry and my practical and theoretical knowledge has been significantly enhanced. Working in groups to complete tasks has helped develop and strengthen my teamwork and time management skills.
What development opportunities have you had? How has MM supported you in this?
Mott MacDonald has a three-year development programme, 'Accelerating your future’ that introduces graduates to the necessary competences to succeed within the organisation which I have joined and the ECP network to create new connections, gain new skills and confidence.
What one piece of advice would you give to anyone looking to apply for the Grad scheme?
Mott MacDonald is a great company and getting into the grad scheme would be a fantastic opportunity for career development as there are development programme opportunities available, seminars and mentoring. There are lots of experienced professionals always ready to assist and share their knowledge as well, just be curious and be ready to learn.
