Our Locations

Coventry

The MTC represents one of the largest public-sector investments in UK manufacturing and, after four years of planning and a 16-month build, the facility opened at Ansty Park in Coventry at the end of 2011.
It exists to prove innovative manufacturing processes and technologies in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions.

The MTC’s rapid growth has seen the expansion of our campus with the build of three more facilities, including the opening of the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), the Lloyds Bank Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) and the Aerospace Research Centre (ARC). We now have a total of over 750 talented employees.

Liverpool

After four successful years of growing our presence in the North-West from Liverpool John Moores (LJMU) campus, in 2019 we established our new facility at Liverpool Science Park. Situated within the Knowledge Quarter, in close proximity to LJMU and the University of Liverpool, we are able to work closely alongside both universities, as well as with our other regional stakeholders.

The site is also the spearhead for the Digital Manufacturing Accelerator, a project that includes a Rapidly Reconfigurable Factory environment - a physical testbed facility that allows manufacturing companies across the city region to develop and pilot new manufacturing approaches in an industrially robust and secure environment.

Oxford

Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS) is a state-of-the-art training centre, offering high quality training for apprentice engineers and technicians. Located at Culham Science Centre near Abingdon, OAS is a partnership between the UK Atomic Energy Authority and the Science and Technology Facilities Council. The two organisations have a history of apprentice training in science and engineering stretching back more than 70 years.

The centre, which opened in 2019, is managed by training partner MTC Apprenticeships. The MTC’s Advanced Engineering apprenticeship helps learners develop the skills industry needs to deliver the technologies of the future in the high-value manufacturing sector.
