Interns 

What happens once I’ve sent my application?

You’ll receive an acknowledgement that we’ve safely received your application. We’ll then keep you regularly informed about the status of your application.

How long should I expect to wait once I’ve applied?

We expect to keep you informed at least every 2 weeks on the status of your application. We’ll only be able to let you know if you’ve been selected for assessment centre once the closing date has passed.

Will I get any feedback about my application?

Yes, we offer feedback at every stage of the process. The aim is to help you get a sense of how you’ve performed and a better understanding of what we’re looking for.

Can I apply for more than 1 scheme?

We encourage you to apply to the scheme you have most interest in being considered for.

What can I expect after my scheme or internship ends?

At Virgin Media Interns who perform particularly well may be given the opportunity to fast-track onto our graduate programme.

Can I apply for an internship if I’ve already graduated or graduate next year?

You should apply for one of our graduate programmes. The Internship programme is designed to be a ‘Year in Industry’ and is open to undergraduates only.

Will I be doing a real role?

Yep – it’s important we challenge you in the role, after all that’s how you’ll learn! -You’ll be expected to hit the ground running, but we’ll make sure you get the support you need to help you achieve in your role!


Graduates

Does it matter what university I went to?

Not in the slightest. In fact, we do something called “blind shortlisting”, which means all your personal info (including what uni you went to) is hidden from the people making selection decisions.

What happens after I send my application?

We’ll let you know we’ve received it safely and send you regular updates about the status of your application.

How long should I expect to wait to hear?

Hopefully not long at all! We’ll inform you about next steps as often and quickly as we can to make sure you have plenty of time to prepare at each stage.

What are the dates for the assessment centre?

Our assessment centres begin in mid-December and continue after the Christmas break throughout January and February. We aim to send invites at least seven days in advance so you can prepare yourself accordingly for the big day.
