I found out about Emerson and the Graduate Engineering Programme through Gradcracker. The first 9 weeks of the graduate programme involved bootcamp training which provided a comprehensive insight into the DeltaV DCS software and hardware.
Since joining the graduate programme I have worked in the software team for a pharmaceutical project and have been involved in the creation of technical documentation, understanding of batch operations, conducting customer testing and commissioning of the software system on site.
On site commissioning has given me a greater sense of software and hardware interaction as well as a better understanding of the process.
Overall, the graduate programme has given me the opportunity to enhance my technical and soft skills, whilst giving me an appreciation of the lifecycle of a project. I recommend this graduate programme as it provides the opportunity to develop yourself as a versatile engineer.
