This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027.
The requirements are to be onsite part of the week so you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location on your own behalf.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Prototype procurement including order management, building supplier relationships, expediting components from global locations, and communicating updates.
Supporting engineering function in sourcing of components for validation and test work. Works to build relationships with the engineering function to ensure deliverables are met in line with test requirements.
Working with the global technical sourcing team to support procurement and supplier risk management administration activities such as supplier confidentiality agreements.
Opportunity to work with different business units within Cummins, managing documentation and data analysis in procurement and supply chain.
Develop team’s common processes, tools, and resources.
Preparing and presenting project updates to business.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
College, University or equivalent degree in a field appropriate for the function required such as Industrial, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or Finance
Basic knowledge of supply chain practices; Awareness of purchasing ethics and risk management.
Structured approach to problem solving and of project management, combined with the ability to manage concurrent project and deal with various priorities; demonstrate working to committed deadlines.
IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and online communication tools. Ability to work independently as well as to work as part of a team.
