Mitsubishi Chemical Group in the UK has four operational business areas – Methacrylates, SoarnoL™, Electrolyte and Specialty Polymers and Resins – located throughout the North East and East Yorkshire.
Newton Aycliffe sits about five miles north of the historic railway town of Darlington and is home to our Specialty Polymers and Resins business. The SoarnoL™ business sits on the banks of the River Humber in Hull.
Research and Development takes place at Wilton, near the coastal town of Redcar, and is the birthplace of our ground-breaking Alpha technology for producing Methacrylates.
Our biggest European Methacrylates production site and our Electrolyte production plant are both located in Billingham, part of the Tees Valley chemical complex. Monomer House, a short distance from our Billingham site, is home to our commercial and functional support teams.
