My name is Sheni Eniodunmo and I'm a Graduate Highways Engineer working for Jacobs. I've been with the company since September 2023.
My role at Jacobs is work closely with the rest of my wider team in work that we have within the office. Some of that consists of working with the local authorities in order to improve their existing road networks and public realm spaces. This requires me and the rest of the team to conduct research on the existing facilities and to draft feasibility reports for what improvements can be made. This ultimately leads to design work, where we will present our clients with various options for improvements those mentioned above.
Alongside my day role I was previously the lead for the early careers network in the Birmingham office. In this role I was coordinating events within the office to assist the development of new talent in the Jacobs office. This would involve talks from senior leaders, guidance within the graduate programme and hosting social events outside of work to form a community within our office.
The early careers network is just one of many reasons as to why Jacobs is a great place to start your career. As such a large company there are plenty of opportunities for you to grow as an individual and to get involved in things that you may not have known even existed. There are plenty of support systems to assist you with anything that may be going on at work or even outside of work, plus the ability to move around the business with our agile careers programme.
