Business Overview:

Equity Derivatives provides a range of solutions for individuals (through brokers or banking networks), corporates, insurance companies, pension funds, institutional investors and asset managers.

The business offers equity solutions across the spectrum from standardised equity research and flow solutions to highly customised structured solutions. The teams work in partnership with clients to meet requirements for capital protection, yield and diversification, portfolio optimisation and hedging.

The Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) group is in charge of designing and structuring systematic investment strategies for a wide range of clients. The group is organised by area of expertise (equity, multi-asset, credit, FX, rates, commodity and volatility) and comprises 20+ people between Paris and London.


Based in London and as part of the QIS group focusing on equity strategies, the successful candidate will be assigned a wide range of tasks on the desk such as :

  • Providing analysis and reports (e.g. performance and risk attribution)
  • Participating to the development of new investment algorithms (idea generation, back-testing, booking)
  • Monitoring daily production metrics on existing strategies
  • Creating tools to automate and streamline recurring processes
  • Providing Market intelligence and competition analysis
  • Supporting the marketing effort with salespeople

Qualifications and skills:

  • Advanced degree in Quantitative Finance or Financial Engineering
  • Strong background in statistics (time series analysis), portfolio construction and optimisation
  • Good programming skills: VBA, Python or R
  • Good communication skiils, automomy, adaptability
  • Fluency in English
