SSEN Transmission are proud to work with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) to offer Power Academy scholarships for Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering students.
The Power Academy scholarship is designed to support undergraduate students throughout their degree by combining financial assistance with meaningful industry experience. Successful applicants will receive an annual bursary, book allowance, and a paid summer placement, providing the opportunity to apply their learning in a real-world environment while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in the energy industry.
Students return to SSEN Transmission for a 12-week placement each year of their degree, enabling them to build on their work experience, work on a variety of projects, and develop valuable relationships with industry professionals. Scholars also receive complimentary IET membership, giving them access to professional resources, networking opportunities and career development support.
Applications are open to students studying at universities that are Power Academy partners or associate members. Applications typically open in September.
