Gradcracker works here's the proof
"My favourite thing about Perenco is the responsibility that is given to graduates."
Graduate Programme: 2015 – Present
Since I started as a graduate, I have worked in 3 departments – each exposing me to a wide range of engineering areas for development.
I began in Operations Support, essentially helping to progress day to day operation of the 40+ North Sea platforms. As part of the role, it was not uncommon to find myself being flown out into the middle of the North Sea by Helicopter – or travelling around the country to meet with suppliers and discuss production and delivery of equipment for Offshore.
I moved into the Project Team for my second year – where I was given the opportunity of being the manager of a project which spanned across 2 platforms and the Dimlington Terminal. For this I recruited a multi-discipline construction team, arranged vessel (boats) and helicopter transport for the team and materials. I was then able to commission the project several months later.
Currently, I work at the Bacton Gas Terminal, where jobs and projects move very quickly. Here I have had more freedom to implement some of my own ideas, which is fantastic for achieving criteria set out for Chartership status.
My favourite thing about Perenco is the responsibility that is given to graduates. If you want to get in at the deep end, you are more than welcome, but on the other hand if there is something you do not know there are plenty of experienced colleagues who are happy to help.
