Fast Innovation, Air Care – R&D Assistant, FTC 12 Months

The Fast Innovation Team is a new team responsible for delivering innovation quickly to uncharted channels (eCommerce, discounters, Home Décor isle etc.) across the Air Care portfolio, ensuring that products are meeting consumer and customer expectations, RB quality standards, safety and compliance to local legislation and can be scaled up quickly and efficiently.

The R&D assistant for Fast Innovation Air Care one of the key-partners responsible for all R&D activities in the R&D HQ – Hull (closing the gaps on fragrance evaluation, validation protocols, TDS management, etc). You will focus on all projects in the team pipeline, eventually including line and product validation for EU suppliers. Expected validation time per project spans between 6 and 9 weeks within a total project schedule of 26-30 weeks maximum.

This role requires the job holder to work on multiple concurrent projects, therefore the ability to prioritise, communicate and track progression whilst maintaining an inquisitive attitude is critical.

Do you have?

  • Degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • A solid understanding of the entire product lifecycle and of the product development process would be preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ideally experience in MDG, TDS, Trackwise and any other Change Control systems.
  • Experience on product validation from lab/pilot to full scale up.
  • A problem-solving attitude.
  • An inquisitive attitude and aptitude to challenge current systems and ways of working.
  • Flexibility to travel when/if required.

  • Proven ability to work under pressure without compromising on deliverables.
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with solid planning and organisational capabilities, a bias for action, and the capability to define, evaluate and manage risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and influencing skills, combined with great interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of interfacing with different stakeholders, with remote management experience preferred.
