Job description

Use your inquisitive, collaborative nature to help organisations turn big ideas into business-changing reality. You’ll get hands-on experience on real client projects from day one and we’ll support you as you study for a professional qualification.

Why EY?

How can we help you to succeed? What makes us different? If you want the answers to those questions in just 80 seconds view this animated summary.

What is Consulting at EY?

The working world is constantly changing. For our clients, this can create better ways of doing things but it might also involve more risks. Our job is to combine industry knowledge with a knack for asking thoughtful questions to help solve our clients’ toughest business problems.

What will you be doing?

Whether you join us in Financial Services, Business Consulting or Quantitative Advisory Services, you’ll be considered a Consultant from day one. We’ll help you develop the skills to identify how each client problem is different and to find creative ways of solving them.

You could be:

  • Working face-to-face with clients, alongside your project team
  • Developing your technical analytical skills
  • Going to workshops with and presenting your work to clients
  • Combining your business and technology knowledge to help clients adopt new tech innovations
  • Travelling in the UK and beyond, as the project calls for it.

No two projects will be the same, so you’ll experience a wide variety of learning and have support from colleagues along the way. You’ll also study for professional qualifications with CIPD, CIMA or similar institutes, depending on which programme you choose. If you do well, there may be opportunities to be promoted to Senior Consultant by the end of the programme.

Do you have the analytical and creative thinking needed to work in consulting?

Entry requirements

Our programmes have different entry requirements. For some, you’ll need an honours degree in any STEM subject, while others will require a subject relevant to your business area. You’ll also need to have obtained GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths, or the equivalent qualifications.

“The best thing about my role is the degree of responsibility that I was able to take on from the very beginning. No two projects are the same at EY, which means that things are often a steep, but rewarding learning curve.” - Alia, Financial Services Technology Consulting - Data and Analytics Graduate Programme
