I joined Martin-Baker in August 2005 as a Machine Shop Apprentice. I spent 4 years learning CNC and Manual Machining. On completing my apprenticeship, I worked for a year as a CNC Machinist. I was given the opportunity to study on a day-release basis and gained an HNC and then a BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Buckinghamshire New University. I successfully applied to become a Manufacturing Engineer and then a Mechanical Design Engineer, working on helicopter crashworthy seats. Martin-Baker has helped me develop my career by sponsoring my education and providing full support with my studies.
