"What attracted me to Farrans was simply the ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects, from water to bridges to marine projects. It’s very diverse engineering, which meant great learning opportunities.
The graduate programme, Farrans Foundation, wasn't just a learning programme in the traditional way. It involved a continuous mixture of hands-on experience and courses such as a day course for surveying or half a day on presentation skills.
We had a chance to get exposed to other sides of construction such as commercial, quality and programme and develop all the skills needed to be a good civil engineer.
What surprised me the most about working in Farrans is the culture. Farrans has a unique culture compared to different companies in the construction industry, a family environment where everybody talks to everybody and everyone is very welcome.
I would advise anybody who's keen on learning and developing to be a great Civil Engineer to apply to Farrans as soon as practically possible because it's a great programme. I've enjoyed every bit of it."
