Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of our business. It guides our actions and the way we work. We are committed to managing our operations in a responsible way by adopting the key elements of sustainability – environmental protection, positive social impact and economic growth.

Protect. Impact. Growth.

Environmental Protection

We are at a climate tipping point. We have to cut emissions by reducing our energy, transport and carbon emitting operations. Sustainability is not a trend. It is a necessity. We will reduce our carbon footprint, without greenwashing.

Throughout our operations we ensure no net loss of biodiversity, we take action to prevent pollution and protect precious habitats.

We have a goal to not only operate in a neutral way, but we aim to achieve climate positivity and have a positive environmental impact through our awareness programmes, emissions cutting, habitat enhancement schemes and ecological protection projects.

Positive Social Impact

We are aware our operations can have a significant impact on local communities.

We work collaboratively with our clients, community organisations, social enterprises and key stakeholders to ensure we place the needs of the community at the heart of our operations.

Our role is not just as a contractor. We play an important role in modern society, leaving lasting legacies for local communities and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Our approach is data driven, smart and measurable. We have built a bespoke Social Value Calculator which is aligned to the national TOMs. Our programmes include stakeholder management, employment and skills development, community engagement and education outreach.

Economic Growth

We are conscious of the positive impact our work can have on local economies, contributing to growth, prosperity and national economic development.

We are committed to engaging local SMEs, MSMEs and VCSEs through tailored business events and through the strategic procurement of goods, services and materials which drive development.

To help us deliver on our roadmap towards the 2030 UN Goals and the 2050 Net Zero Targets we want to work with organisations who share our vision of a sustainable future, and welcome contact from companies who have found new and more sustainable ways of working.
