Real Work, Real Experience
You’ll be employed from day one, working alongside experienced professionals on real projects that shape the built environment within our contract team. You’ll gain practical, hands-on experience in Quantity Surveying.
Structured Learning
Alongside your job, you’ll study part-time with a recognised training provider or university. Your learning is directly linked to your role, so you’ll see how theory applies in practice and vice versa.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the Commercial team in achieving its performance objectives. Your responsibilities will grow as you develop your knowledge, behaviours, and skills in key areas such as:
Contract Management: Assist in the negotiation and agreement of terms and conditions for contracts and sub-contracts, working with in-house and external legal advisors.
Financial Oversight: Help establish financial control systems for contract execution, manage revenue, costs, and cash collection, and produce commercial reports and forecasts.
Procurement & Subcontractor Engagement: Support the procurement process and help define responsibilities and terms for subcontractors and suppliers.
Payment & Reporting: Monitor customer payments, prepare subcontractor payment certificates, and ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the contract lifecycle.
Health, Safety & Environment: Learn to monitor and uphold HSE standards across projects.
Professional Development: Attend structured training sessions and complete your apprenticeship programme, building strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
What We’re Looking For
Education: 112 + UCAS points, 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including Maths, English & Science
Driving Licence: Full UK licence
Skills: Self-starter, team player, excellent communicator, flexible and proactive
Status: British citizenship or UK settled status.
