Finding your Role

At Bentley, we are committed to ensuring that our recruitment process is both clear and fair, allowing you to showcase your talents and helping us find the right fit for both you and our team.

Below are some helpful insights and tips to guide you through each stage of the process.

OUR SELECTION PROCESS

Application

Begin by selecting a role that best aligns with your skills and career aspirations. Once you've found the right position, create a profile and submit your application.

Be sure to carefully review the job criteria to ensure you meet the key qualifications and highlight your relevant experience effectively.

Initial contact

If you are shortlisted, one of our Talent Acquisition Team will reach out to discuss the next steps and schedule a phone interview.

To prepare, find somewhere you can talk freely.

Be ready to give an overview of your career and why you're excited about the role. This will help us both determine if we're a good match.

Assessment

If we both agree to move forward, you'll be invited to our assessment.

During this session, you'll participate in a competency-based interview, and a technical exercise designed to assess your alignment with Bentley's core values as well as your technical expertise.

Feedback & next steps

After the assessment, your Talent Acquisition Specialist will provide you with detailed feedback and guide you through the following steps, ensuring you're fully informed about your position and well prepared as we continue the selection process.

Offer & onboarding

If you successfully pass the assessments and are selected for the role, we'll discuss the details of your offer and initiate the 'onboarding' process to officially welcome you to the Bentley team.

TOP TIPS

Navigating a recruitment process can feel daunting but, with the right preparation, you can confidently showcase your skills and make the most of your opportunity. Here are our top tips to help you succeed at each stage:

  • Tailor your CV - Highlight relevant achievements and qualifications, and double-check your application for accuracy before submitting.
  • Prepare and practice - Practise answering common interview questions in a way that highlights your skills and experience. Prepare specific examples of your work. Manage nerves - it's okay to feel nervous, embrace it. Have a plan for handling unexpected questions.
  • Use Al wisely - Al can help you structure your CV and prepare for interviews, but don't let it overshadow your unique skills and personality. We want to see the real you - your passion, values and experiences. Use Al as a tool, not a substitute, and keep your application authentic. For further advice, read our article on using Al in job applications.
  • Research Bentley - Research in advance so you can explain why you're excited about the role.
  • Leverage your Talent Acquisition Advisor - Work closely with your recruiter to understand the interview process and expectations, and be authentic! Bring your true self to the interview - we value authenticity.
  • Remember the 5 Cs: Capability, Confidence, Concern (for others and your company), Collaboration and Communication - demonstrate these throughout the process.
