The benefits

We offer our graduates a competitive salary of £32,000 to £40,000 pro rata. You’ll get 25 days' holiday plus a personal day and bank holidays.

Our finance function impacts 330,000+ colleagues and millions of customers. During our 3-year scheme you’ll learn to solve unique business challenges with your financial expertise. We'll support you as you work towards your CIMA qualification, offering paid study leave and hands-on experience.

  • Use financial data to build proposals and forecasts to influence stakeholders
  • Work with Tesco Group and build relationships with stakeholders, for example Booker, Ireland, One Stop
  • Review how we can automate and simplify processes to enhance ways of working

Our online function delivers a seamless online shopping experience for millions of customers. Your placement will be centred around developing and running our online operation. We work agile in Online, meaning we test, learn and move quickly. Some of our squads include Whoosh, Marketplace, F&F and Availability.

What you might do:

  • Keep an eye on the external market and competitors to suggest opportunities to grow
  • Develop new ideas and innovations to grow the Online business, making it even better for our customers
  • Use different tools such as Kantar, Circana, Tableau to gather data.

This 2-year scheme will teach you to build supplier relationships and create new product lines. You’ll rotate through fresh and packaged food teams, gaining skills in negotiation and supplier management. Our roles are varied, it may not be just food you work on.

What you might do:

  • Working as a Buyer sourcing new seasonal products to fill Tesco shops
  • Create range plans for stores to ensure the right products are in the right places - making it easy for customers to find what they're looking for
  • Work in our procurement team, ensuring we work with the right suppliers across Tesco.

Our supply chain team is a global operation, responsible for getting products from farms and factories to our customers. On this 2-year scheme, you’ll work with our Change Managers, Analysts and Operators. You’ll do one rotation in operations, one in an analytical role, and one in a project-based role.

  • Articulate and share data with stakeholders to help drive decisions, using Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau
  • Work with suppliers to drive enhancements and new ideas throughout the supply chain.

New for 2026, this two-year scheme brings together the best of general merchandise (stationery, books and more) and our F&F lifestyle brand (home & clothing). It’s all about helping you grow into a future leader —while stretching your thinking, building and delivering ranges and working on real commercial challenges.

What you might do:

  • You’ll rotate across buying and merchandising teams
  • Create customer-focused product ranges for our stores - from the next must have cardigan to stylish home accessories and seasonal must-haves
  • Collaborate with F&F, our in-house lifestyle brand, to learn how trends and customer data shapes what we offer
  • Build relationships with suppliers, making sure great affordable products land in the right place at the right time
  • Support seasonal and trading moments, like launching new ranges across the UK, Republic of Ireland, and Central Europe.

Our Cyber Security team uses the latest technologies to increase visibility and protection of our systems, services, and data. Over this 2-year graduate scheme, you’ll use your technical ability to help protect our organisation, while learning about incident response, security platforms and cyber assurance. You’ll spend time in Tesco labs, working with our tech grads, coding and trying our new tech.

  • Design, drive and determine our security strategy to help protect Tesco

From day one, you’ll be the voice of our customers, using analytical skills to solve problems, define product roadmaps and bring our products to life, as well as driving internal enhancements to support teams to work more efficiently. During this 2-year scheme, you’ll hold workshops with stakeholders, write user stories, collate data and analyse feedback. You’ll also spend time in Tesco labs, meeting tech grads, coding and trying our new tech.

What you might do:

  • Lead a cross-functional team from discovery through to delivery, working closely with Programme Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Take ownership of the product and its future direction, defining a vision and strategy and creating a backlog that aligns with it.

You’ll also spend time in Tesco labs, meeting tech grads, coding and trying our new tech.

  • Stay ahead of the game, researching competitors and suggest new innovative ideas to test and learn

Health and wellbeing

We all have wellbeing needs and these are unique and personal to everyone. Looking after your wellbeing is extremely important to us in making sure you can be your best both at work and at home, this includes taking time to look after your mental health. We have a suite of resources for wellbeing offered to all colleagues. This ranges from mindfulness and resilience training to free fruit events for our colleagues. We also have support available for our colleagues from external organisations too.
