Turn your love of numbers and patterns into a career in data.
Do you enjoy testing ideas, spotting patterns and working out what the evidence really says? Have you got some basic programming skills, or want to build on them? Join our graduate programme and learn to turn data into insight that clients act on.
Bluesmith is a thriving, modestly-sized Yorkshire IT company. We build data warehouses and applications for clients like Yorkshire Water, Skipton Building Society and the NHS.
We’ll teach you everything about systems design, development and testing the Bluesmith way: all at your own pace, using exercises from real-world projects. You’ll get a friendly progress mentor too. At the end of your training, we’ll offer you a full-time job with a share of the company’s profits.
One day you might optimise a data-load process, the next combine very different datasets to reveal insight our clients never knew existed. There are no pigeon-holes at Bluesmith, our specialists form agile teams where you can be lead developer in one project, and analyst in another. You will never be moved into a new role without support from colleagues who have done it before.
We're a team that learns and grows together. Everyone shares what they know, asks questions freely and helps each other do their best work. We build teams from within and most of our current seniors joined us as graduates. The systems and data you help build are used every day by organisations across Yorkshire and beyond, so you'll see the difference your work makes.
If you enjoy logic, statistics or programming work and want to see it make a practical difference, we'd love to hear from you. You don't need to tick every box to apply.
