My name is Yasmin and I work for ASMPT in the Logistics and Material Management department for Aftersales.
It wasn’t a role that I had previously had much experience in but ASMPT gave me great on the job training to be able to competently fulfil my role. With this training, I grew to love my job and the people within my team. They offered me the chance to further my training by undertaking a diploma which I am already a year into. Both my manager and team offer me great support when I come across challenges not only in my diploma but in my day to day work too.
The flexitime working hours that ASMPT offer are a real benefit. It enables me to find a better work/life balance which is a real positive these days.
I’d say one of ASMPT's strengths is not only that they invest in their employees’ careers, but they look after everyone’s wellbeing. This ranges from having onsite mental health first aiders who can offer support to the sports and social club who arrange the activities throughout the year. The summer parties in particular, are not to be missed!
I have also been given the chance to travel within ASMPT which is fantastic as I love to travel outside of work too. This has ranged from visits to Germany, Hungary and Singapore which are just a few places ASMPT have factories and warehouses. The opportunity for travel is a benefit to see the world and also offers a wider view of the operation ASMPT runs as a global organisation.
The best thing about my job however, is that in the 5 years I’ve worked here, I’m not bored and that to me, is the most important thing.
