As a 2027 Graduate joining STRABAG UK on the HARP Project as a Civil Engineering Graduate, you will be working on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.
The Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme (HARP) is a £3 billion infrastructure project led by United Utilities to upgrade the 110-kilometre Haweswater Aqueduct in the North West of England. STRABAG UK are leading the full design and construction scope of the project.
The aqueduct was originally built between 1933 and 1955; the project will be replacing six aging underground tunnel sections (totalling over 50km) to secure long-term clean drinking water supply to 2.5 million people across Cumbria, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester.
Design - Support the development and delivery of engineering designs for the proposed infrastructure, working with experienced engineers to help ensure solutions are practical, safe and meet project requirements.
Planning - Assist with the planning and coordination of project activities, helping the team monitor progress, manage information and support the timely delivery of works.
Routeways - Support the development and coordination of access routes and associated infrastructure required to facilitate construction activities across the project.
Shaft Construction - Support the construction of shafts and associated infrastructure required for the tunnelling works, gaining practical experience of site operations and engineering activities.
