You will spend time predominately at the location discussed with you at interview, however with us being UK wide, and a construction business, you will be expected to travel and undertake work outside of this location as and when necessary. You’ll be given appropriate notice, and where applicable, subsidence towards travel, accommodation, and incidentals.

This will depend on which career pathway you decide upon, to become a Structural Design Engineer, this will take around 4 years to complete, this is inclusive of rotations to different departments, undertaking the requirements of your professional body (ICE), and ensuring that you have had the exposure to be a fully fledged Structural Design Engineer.
If you were looking to follow the career path for our project delivery areas, this may take slightly less time to complete, but there would still be an emphasis on getting exposure to departmental practices, and completion of your professional development.
You will spend time in various departments to experience different challenges that will afford you the opportunity to achieve the attributes needed to be considered fully qualified at the end of your graduate scheme.
You will be allocated a mentor whilst you are undertaking our graduate scheme as well as input from your wider team when working on specific projects or in certain areas of the business. You will have ongoing reviews to discuss your progress, and your professional development.

Once you have reached the end of your graduate scheme, the business will meet with you to confirm next steps. At this stage there will be no surprises for either party and you will have been working towards the department you will be working in for the previous 12 months, if not longer.
