I have enjoyed various aspects of my role and it is genuinely difficult to pick just one thing! The people are great and very supportive of early career development. From a project perspective, I have been lucky enough to work on numerous projects including TRU, Sizewell C and various bridge structures. Tony Gee really encourages training, so I have continued to be involved in ICE activities and have been on various training courses to help develop my skillset.
I would have to say the most rewarding aspect of being a civil engineer is being able to see what you have designed come to life! My first project involved a timber footbridge on Sizewell C. Following submission, the client sent through some great feedback along with some photos of the bridge in use, which was wonderful to see!
Also, the job allows me to work on a variety of projects. I have enjoyed this mix of work as it has enabled me to expand my knowledge and skillset in numerous fields. I have been fortunate enough to develop both my management and technical skills during my time here so far.

It genuinely feels as though everyone who works for Tony Gee belongs to a family and we recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the company with around 500 people. This was a great chance to meet everyone working for Tony Gee including the CEO.
