AI Internship (12 months) - Masters and PhD students

Introduction 

We have an exciting opportunity for an AI Internship within our AI department. This is a 12 month placement that will begin this summer and is suitable for PhD and Masters students who have completed their first year of study. 

The Role 

Cambridge Consultants pushes the cutting edge of experimental AI research with our own in-house research laboratory. We combine our research output with engineering rigour to create innovative and robust AI solutions to solve complex problems presented to us by our clients.

As a PhD AI Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved with a range of diverse projects working and supported by a talented team of AI experts and mentors.

You’ll be doing real hands-on work ranging from modelling, training, testing and data-wrangling, and you’ll have the latest High Tech compute available at your fingertips to efficiently train and develop complex models from AI literature and put them to the test with real world data.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing AI models
• Managing and developing data sets
• Working as part of a team to develop AI systems

You must meet the requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance or already have it.

What you can bring

We are looking for someone with a degree in a relevant subject, such as mathematics, physics or theoretical physics, and for someone who is currently studying a relevant Master’s or PhD.

You will also have:

• Good Python programming skills and experience
• Specific AI Experience with: autoencoders; Reinforcement learning models; and information metrics
• Research experience with published papers in leading journals
