The New Markets Division is offering an 11-month placement in its Life Science Technologies (LST) business unit. LST focuses exclusively on serving the pharmaceutical, fine chemical and agrochemical markets. Products include a major chiral technologies platform combining biocatalysis and asymmetric hydrogenation, an extensive line of novel palladium coupling catalysts, and supported heterogeneous precious and base metal catalysts.

Job purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity to experience the day-to-day activities within our R&D facility at the Cambridge Science Park. The primary objective of this placement is the development, testing and synthetic industrial application of chemo-catalysts for redox transformations. The successful candidate will work primarily in the laboratory, in close collaboration with colleagues whose focus is on translating the customer’s needs into a technical process.

This placement is in Cambridge. Please ensure that you are willing and able to live within a commutable distance of the Cambridge Science Park site before applying.

This is an 11-month fixed term contract from: 1st September 2020 – 28th July 2021.

We offer a competitive salary of £18,725 per annum.
