Due to continued commercial success, EPS is looking to recruit a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join its growing Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Graduate Electrical Engineer to join this highly respected consultancy team. The team delivers leading-edge technical consultancy in the areas of Power Systems Analysis, Arc Flash and Electrical Engineering.
The base location will be at our Teesside regional office; but may rarely require UK travel to customers in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing and Energy sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with and alongside our Lead Electrical Engineer who will provide training, support, and guidance as required. This role provides an ideal opportunity to gain valuable skills and engineering experience to complement formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Participating in a wide range of electrical engineering projects within a range of industrial sectors; onshore and offshore.
Undertaking electrical design, electrical specifications, data sheets for both LV and HV electrical equipment.
Using ETAP power system modeling software to perform load flow, short circuit analysis, protection coordination, transient motor starting analysis and arc flash studies.
Conducting Soil Resistivity Tests and surveys with another Engineer at client sites, representing EPS and be client-facing as required.
Scoping client requirements and interpreting requirements to prepare and deliver an effective technical solution.
Producing high quality technical reports; discussing and presenting findings to clients where necessary.
Interacting with clients to achieve project objectives using appropriate technical judgment.
Working autonomously or as part of a team on multiple projects.
Contributing to business development targets by building relationships with clients and helping to generate new business.
Preparing a range of commercial and technical proposals to a high standard.
About You
A minimum of 2.1 Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from a recognised and relevant university.
Experience using complex power system modelling software would be an advantage.
Experience in an Electrical Engineering Environment.
Knowledge and understanding of onshore and offshore electrical engineering for either Oil & Gas, power distribution, wind energy, manufacturing and petrochemical industries is preferred however experience will be gained during the EPS mentoring program.
Proficient in the use of spreadsheets for calculation and analysis.
The ability to solve problems and confidence to support clients on behalf of a world-class engineering consultancy.

Training and Development
One-to-one training will be provided by an experienced Chartered Electrical Engineer.
EPS shall provide formal ETAP, DIgSILENT and CDEGs power system modelling training to perform complex engineering calculations.
Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) may also be provided if required.
