Graduate Testimonials

“I am on the Actuarial scheme which provides a route to becoming a qualified actuary whilst gaining valuable experience and contributing to the business. I applied to NFU Mutual because the scheme had the exam support I was looking for and the company itself had very positive reviews on Glassdoor, indicating that it was a good place to work. I accepted the offer because of how positive my experience of the selection process was. The interviewers were very supportive and friendly, allowing me to perform at my best and signalling to me the type of culture present in the company.”
Keelan McCulloch, Risk Actuarial Graduate Scheme

“I chose NFU Mutual because it’s a market-leading insurance company with a strong local presence. What really stood out to me was the company’s genuine commitment to its customers and rural communities as a mutual. During my research, I was impressed by how valued employees are and how much emphasis is placed on supporting both staff and customers. The company’s ethos and supportive culture made it an easy choice. From day one in my team, I was trusted with real work, which helped me learn quickly and feel like a valued member of the team.”
Isobel Young, Finance Graduate Scheme

“I chose NFU Mutual because of the positive feedback I saw during my research. What really stood out to me was that the company is values-based and genuinely cares about employee wellbeing. It offers strong benefits and support for career and professional development. Career growth is something I prioritise and seeing that NFU Mutual offered a graduate scheme that supports both technical skills and broader development was a big plus. That impression was fully confirmed during my 2024 summer internship at NFU Mutual. It gave me first-hand experience of everything I had researched. Ultimately, it cemented my decision to apply for the NFU Mutual graduate scheme as my next step.”
Rishi Patel, Internal Audit Graduate Scheme

“I was drawn to NFU Mutual’s graduate scheme because of its competitiveness in terms of remuneration, professional qualifications, and corporate opportunities. The structure particularly appealed to me - three years of varied placements across different parts of the business, giving me the chance to build a breadth of experience and skills early in my career. I was also inspired by NFU Mutual’s mutual status, which to me was a strong indicator of ethical values and customer focus. One of the biggest benefits of my scheme is that I get to work directly with our customers in the local community and am licensed to sell NFU Mutual’s products. This hands-on experience gives me a valuable perspective.”
