Business Performance Placement (12.5 months)

Welcome to the operational foundation of Airbus Facilities Management & Real Estate (FMRE). Based at our historic Broughton site, our team provides the governance, data, and processes that underpin how we manage our business across all three Airbus divisions (Commercial, Defence & Space, and Helicopters).

We sit at the intersection of data, strategy, and daily operations, ensuring our vast industrial estates run safely, efficiently, and sustainably. What you will be doing:

No two days are the same in this role. Working directly with the Head of Performance Management, you won’t just be shadowing—you will coordinate your own activities and projects, collaborate closely with international stakeholders, and be fully supported in discovering and developing your own unique leadership style and personal development plan.

You will look across different areas and gain practical real world experience within our team's core areas, including:

• Performance & Reporting: Diving into data analysis to identify key performance topics , simplifying complex messages to facilitate management decisions, and contributing directly to senior management performance reviews;
• Risk & Opportunity Management: Learning how to understand business risks before they happen and transforming operational challenges into positive opportunities;
• Supply Chain Management: Gaining invaluable insight into how we build relationships, manage performance, and coordinate logistics with our critical external partners;
• Quality & Business Management Systems: Understanding the framework of how a global leader like Airbus maintains its high standards of quality and operational compliance.

Skills you will develop:

• Data Analytics & Storytelling: Connecting data points to create clear, meaningful insights for senior leaders;
• Cross-Cultural Communication: Partnering daily with transnational teams across Europe;
• Business Acumen: Project coordination, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Studying towards a degree in Business, Management, IT, Project Management, or equivalent;
• Knowledge in data analysis;
• Google Suite;
• Open minded and able to work with international teams;
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills;
• Leadership skills.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
