We have a long, proud history of tech innovation in banking and we’re continuing to develop world-class applications at a rapid pace, investing significantly in the technology that powers every aspect of our operations. From customer experience to big data, from cyber security to infrastructure, we’re using the very best tech today and developing innovative and world leading tech for tomorrow. For millions of customers and clients worldwide, on a global scale. Because when tomorrow comes, you can be sure that Barclays will be there – redefining the future of finance.
Barclays Technology is the power behind our global operations and it is here in the Chief Security office that we conceive of, design and develop technological solutions that protect millions of customers and clients against the growing threats from cybercrime. You will play a pivotal part in changing and enhancing our technology.
You’ll learn from leading technology experts, helping to develop innovations that could potentially make financial history. You’ll work with business areas to understand their needs, and together you’ll create technology solutions that will increase our business performance. You’ll also manage projects to ensure developers deliver on time, and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
You’ll be surprised by what you can achieve in one summer. From beginning to end, we’ll do everything in our power to make sure you get the very most from your internship.
We’ll surround you with challenging projects and opportunities to grow and learn. We’ll keep you motivated with encouragement, feedback and support as you build your leadership skills, technical know-how and business acumen. We’ll help you connect with mentors, and network with colleagues and senior leaders alike. You’ll get the chance to give back to the community through volunteer events. And if you really impress us, this could be the beginning of an incredible career. We invite top-performing interns to join us as full-time analysts after graduation.
We welcome people of any educational background, but you should have a passion for technology. You’ll be curious and creative, adaptable and analytical. You’ll be great at communicating and collaborating – motivated by pace and pressure and driven to achieve and search for the best solution. You’ll also be ready to develop a deep understanding of what we do, why we do it, and how your role impacts on our business outcomes. These are qualities that people at Barclays have in abundance, and we’ll help you develop and strengthen them from the day you arrive.
