Ready to make a real impact on sustainability and innovation in the energy sector? At EDF, Success is Personal. Join our Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) Supply Chain Industrial Placement and help shape the future of energy while building a career that’s unique to you.
This Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) Supply Chain Industrial Placement is expected to begin in early September 2027 and offers a starting salary of £26,050, with the opportunity to support the delivery of Hinkley Point C, one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects.
During this 12-month placement, you'll gain hands-on experience in contract management, supplier engagement and strategic procurement. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to major supply chain activities while developing commercial and analytical skills within a business that's driving the transition towards An Electric Britain.
Being part of Hinkley Point C means helping to shape the future of low-carbon energy. You'll contribute to a project that will provide clean electricity for millions of homes while supporting the UK's energy security.
During your Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) (Supply Chain Directorate) Industrial Placement, you'll support the delivery of major contracts and supplier relationships across the MEH programme. You'll gain valuable insight into procurement, contract management and governance processes while working within a collaborative commercial environment.
You'll contribute to contract administration, supplier performance management, cost control and commercial reporting activities. You'll support the use of NEC3 contract management processes, assist with tracking contract changes and potential compensation events, and gain exposure to data analysis, Power BI reporting, supplier engagement and strategic procurement activities that underpin the successful delivery of Hinkley Point C.
Depending on your skill set and development ambitions, you'll be based at the #Bridgwater Satellite Delivery Centres and the #HinkleyPointC site. Transport to the Hinkley Point C site is provided from several collection points.
This on-site placement will give you exposure to both operational and commercial environments, allowing you to build relationships across project teams, suppliers and stakeholders while supporting critical delivery activities.
To be eligible for this EDF Industrial Placement, you need to be studying towards, or have already achieved, a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Geography, Science, Supply Chain and Logistics, or a closely related discipline. You'll have an interest in commercial management, procurement, data analysis and major project delivery.
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
Alongside a starting salary of £26,050 per annum and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
