As a graduate at Alfa it’s important for you to understand the whole Alfa lifecycle: the product, Alfa Systems, how it works, and also know how our clients use the product and how it supports them.
What we look for in our graduates Although the job entails technology and finance, we don’t require our graduates to have extensive experience in coding or come from a technical or financial background. Our training teaches you all you need to know, but your interest in technology and finance must be genuine, and you must be able to demonstrate this during the application process.
Whilst we consider applications from all disciplines, a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or related business and STEM fields and some experience in programming may help.
Our training teaches you all you need to know, but your interest in technology and finance must be genuine.
The ideal Alfa recruit has the ability to see an end goal, break down the steps to get there, and put in the effort to achieve it. Any hard-working and ambitious graduate can be successful as long as you have a logical mind, enjoy working as part of a team, take pride in your work, and see your career immersed in the worlds of both technology and finance.
Our two-year technology consulting graduate programme sees you undertake an intensive training induction covering the asset finance industry, software development and consultancy skills, before being assigned to rotational placements, working with our Consulting, Technical and Functional teams.
Supported at all times by more experienced colleagues, new joiners will find that the open culture means they have easy access to colleagues of all levels for discussion and guidance. From the very start of their career, our graduates will help take our product, Alfa Systems, forward and help to change the way our customers’ businesses work.
During the Alfa Graduate Programme you’ll dive into a range of learning experiences including:
Our induction programme starts with an action-packed week where you learn all about our company, our culture, our customers and how we operate as a business. You will then move into a team and learn yet more whilst on the job. We see the induction as the foundation of your career and, once this has been established, how you choose to develop professionally is up to you and your manager.
Our Learning and Development team provides a wide-ranging suite of learning opportunities for all employees to learn at a pace they are comfortable with. Throughout training, you’ll get to meet lots of faces across the company - from previous graduate joiners, project managers, technical architects and Client Account Directors, right up to our CEO and members of our Company Leadership Team.
