About the Internship opportunity: 

We’re excited to be offering a Summer Internship in Electrical Engineering, Building Services in our Manchester office. 

As Cities & Places, we can create thriving places across different scales: from regions to cities, neighbourhoods to individual buildings, by offering an integrated design approach. We have a tremendous opportunity in front of us to build upon strength to develop an interdisciplinary planning, design and delivery practice that is uniquely Jacobs, that sets the direction for the industry, and is home to the very best and brightest design thinkers, disruptors, technical experts, visionaries and storytellers. 

Cities & Places deliver exciting and interesting projects across a broad range of sectors including transport infrastructure, defence, education, research and technology. Our business unit brings together engineers, architects, designers, specialists, surveyors, urban designers, project managers and transport planners to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for our clients both nationally and internationally. 

Our Building Services team are involved in a variety of planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment and new build projects including several multi-million-pound development schemes and framework agreements within the construction industry. These consist of multi-residential high, medium and low-rise infrastructure replacement projects, district heating upgrades, as well as education-based projects including new build schools and student accommodation both design and technical adviser roles.  

The Electrical Engineering team produce designs and associated deliverables for projects that ensure Jacobs maintains the highest technical standards, levels of service and quality.
