Each Zurich graduate scheme is a permanent role and is just the start of your career with us. We'll continue to cheer you on every step of the way once you’ve finished and will remain committed to helping you grow. Working in insurance is so varied - you’ll find many different opportunities to explore.

What can I look forward to?

As an Accounting Graduate, you will have the opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills, while learning from industry experts and senior managers who take a keen interest in your growth. We are passionate about ensuring you settle into the working environment effectively and offer a buddy/mentor who will be a current or former apprentice.

In addition to departmental day-to-day activities, you can expect to be involved in real projects that deliver value to our business and customers. These could include process transformation, providing financial support to the business or developing MI for management, while being grounded in the accounting that forms the backbone of our profession.

Over the three-year rotational programme, you will typically complete three one-year rotations across the accounting teams. No matter what team you’re in, you’ll get to learn from some of our most talented colleagues in the business, who will encourage and guide you to be your best. You’ll also study towards a globally recognised accounting qualification (either ACCA or CIMA), with completion designed to coincide with the end of the rotational programme.

What you'll need:

  • You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.
  • Although we are a hybrid workforce, you should be within a commutable distance to your assigned office workplace stated in this advert. At the beginning of the scheme you’ll need to work full-time in the office. This will help with face-to-face training, building your personal brand and broadening your network.
  • Depending on the team you are placed in, there may be a requirement to work in the office for most of the working week.
  • As Accounting is based in numbers, we prefer a numeric degree, but this isn’t a requirement. A passion for becoming an effective accountant is more important.
  • A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) predicted or recently achieved (within the last three years).
  • At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent)
  • A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships

What’s in it for you?

As well as joining a company that is passionate about our people, sustainability and our customers, we also have a competitive rewards and lifestyle benefits package.

You’ll receive:

  • £30,600 starting salary
  • 28 days' holiday plus an additional 3 volunteering days
  • You can request to swap UK bank holidays for days off that have cultural or religious significance to you
  • Private medical cover
  • 12% company pension contribution
  • Annual company bonus
  • Discounted gym membership
