We deal with today’s challenges, but also keep a fairer, better tomorrow in sight, looking at how we deliver clean growth, support radical changes in our economy and meet the needs of future communities.

The Opportunity

Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Civil Engineer in our Belfast office, where you will work with high-profile water-sector clients and contribute to projects that make a real difference to the communities we live in.

As a graduate, you will collaborate with your team and the wider Stantec community to deliver innovative solutions to our clients, while developing your engineering expertise and knowledge in a truly multidisciplinary and creative environment.

You will have the opportunity to work with some of the largest water clients in the industry and make a real difference from the very beginning. Through your project work, you will help support the development of practical engineering solutions that respond to client and community needs.

About The Role

Working as part of a friendly and collaborative project team, you will work closely with data to help the team make informed decisions and keep projects on track. Your day-to-day work may include using tools such as Excel to spot trends and patterns, collating and analysing information, carrying out calculations and assessments, communicating with colleagues and external partners, attending meetings and visiting project sites to gather data.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with data to support informed project decision-making.
  • Using tools such as Excel to identify trends, patterns and useful insights.
  • Collating and analysing information to support project delivery.
  • Carrying out calculations and assessments to support engineering work.
  • Communicating with colleagues and external partners to help keep projects moving.
  • Attending meetings and taking opportunities to visit project sites to gather data and build practical understanding.

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. You’ll be given dedicated mentoring to support your professional development as you build your career as a Civil Engineer.

Your Impact

This role will help deliver better outcomes for communities and the environment by supporting water-sector projects through data-led analysis, engineering assessments and collaborative project delivery. Your work will contribute to practical, informed solutions that help clients and communities respond to infrastructure challenges.
