The Opportunity 

We have an opportunity for a Level 6 Apprentice Structural Engineer to start in Summer/Autumn 2024 to join our team based in Oxford.

In this particular role you will develop skills in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Revit 3D modelling software, as well as a robust understanding in structural engineering design. During your apprenticeship, you will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and gain hands on experience with the support and knowledge of experienced Engineers.

As well as gaining experience in the design and drawing process of building structures, you will collaborate with a wide range of professionals such as architects, civil engineers and planners on varied projects across all sectors.

Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification. You’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending the University of Warwick on block release where you will gain a BEng Civil and infrastructure Engineering degree.

About you:

For our apprenticeships no previous experience is required If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn then this could be for you.

Qualifications:

For our Level 6 apprenticeship you will need either:

  • 3 A Levels Grade AAA or above to include Maths and a Physical Science
  • A BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering – DDD to include Further Engineering Mathematics.

We also look for:

  • Someone who is inquisitive, with an interest in continuous improvement
  • Someone who is proactive and passionate for getting involved
  • Someone who has good attention to detail
  • Someone who can demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information in speech, drawings, and reports

Our apprentice application process is as follows:

  • Step 1. Online Application 
  • Step 2. Online Video Interview and Aptitude Tests
  • Step 3. Face to Face Interview 
  • Step 4. Offer

We offer multiple start dates throughout next summer in June, July, August and September.
