This opportunity is within Siemens Digital Industries based in Manchester, in this exciting division of Siemens we: optimise our customers' processes, improve their productivity and reduce their energy costs with our product range and Totally Integrated Automation solutions. The product areas which we sell to customers are Factory Automation, Control Products, Motion Control and Process Automation. You will be working within the ‘Business Knowledge Informatics’ department responsible for delivering change, transformation and improvement activity at all levels of the organisation.
Part of being an apprentice at Siemens means you get to work on real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey. During this 4-year degree apprenticeship programme, you will work towards a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions with Manchester Metropolitan University. Programming and solving business problems through developing IT solutions
Working on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics projects to help the business understand its current position and work on potential growth areas
Actively participating in all stages of application development, including analysis, design, test, implementation and support
Ensuring that the business has the relevant skills and tools to achieve their goals
Working closely with employees to resolve technology queries and overcome issues, including being an IT ambassador responsible for ensuring the business is informed of relevant technologies and services and are fully equipped to win business.
We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following characteristics:
You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
You have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate with employees across the business

Some experience in a customer-facing role is desirable although not essential
Minimum educational requirements
3 A-levels or BTEC level 3 in an IT related subject as well as at least 5 GCSE's grade 5 or above including mathematics and English language.
