Having completed two months of my yearlong industrial placement I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. I am currently working in the T-FIT® department which is a rapidly growing area of the business, and I have been given significant responsibility to help production raise our industry-leading products globally. I am currently working under the guidance of a Technical Support Engineer on a very exciting project organised by the Federal Aviation Administration, an internationally renowned governing body for the aerospace industry. This involves the organisation and testing of our material that is utilised by industry leaders such as Boeing, Airbus and NASA. During my time here at Zotefoams, I have found myself applying engineering knowledge learned at university and using a hands-on approach to solve industry focused problems. Over the next few months, I look forward to enhancing my commercial awareness to make me a more well-rounded professional.
