The RN offers many Sport and Adventurous Training (AT) opportunities. A small selection of sports offered are:
AT challenges individuals both physically and mentally, and can develop leadership skills whilst creating lifelong memories. Serving Royal Navy personnel are entitled to a minimum of five days adventurous training every year, with those five days considered part of the working diary. The RN has an AT centre in Germany, called NOCG (Naval Outdoor Centre Germany), and serving personnel can visit for free and complete a week of AT, which could include getting a foundation qualification. The RN offers pathways to getting qualifications in AT, starting with foundation courses and work up to leadership qualifications.
