A400M Safety Engineering Placement (12 months)

You will join the Safety & Compliance team based at RAF Brize Norton, becoming part of the support network for the A400M "Atlas" - the most advanced, proven, and certified airlifter available today. You will act as a critical part of the team supporting flight operations, maintaining safe aircraft and delivering armed forces projects globally.

What you will be doing:

How you will contribute to the team:

  • Promoting safe ways of thinking and safety ideas within the organisation;
  • Data Analysis of safety occurrences and compliance issues to identify the root causes;
  • Identifying and problem solving of maintenance issues to stop them reoccurring;
  • Data Trending to identify areas of improvement and present to the wider Airbus Engineering Community;
  • Occasional travel to other UK sites.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Your application should include a CV along with a Cover Letter outlining your motivation and suitability for the role.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent for the whole duration of the placement;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools;
  • Understanding of data trending, analysis and general engineering practices;
  • Holding a full UK driving licence and having access to a car is beneficial for this location.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
