The Filton Plant Manufacturing Engineering team is at the heart of all our tasks, working with every function to turn design intent into production reality. We provide production support, develop new technologies for cost reduction and efficiency, and work on new product introductions. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work in Operations, Technical, and Support Functions.
Your placement can cover projects such as the A400M, A350 Metallic, and other Research & Technology initiatives. We are a pioneering and innovative team of experienced engineers, covering a wide range of subjects from strategy, production support, and project management to manufacturing technologies, digitisation, Lean, and production planning. This gives you a wide spectrum of opportunities across various wing-related subjects.
If you enjoy a challenge without a predefined solution, taking full accountability for project delivery, and learning as you go, all while being at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, then this could be the perfect role for you. Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
