Vodafone is one of the world’s leading mobile communications providers, operating in 26 countries and in partnership with networks in over 55 more.
We’re a global tech leader pioneering Internet of Things technology, to transform lives and businesses around the world. From installing the moon’s first 4G network, to making the world’s first holographic call, we’re connecting everybody to live a better today. And, with innovations like our DreamLab app that enables thousands of people to speed up vital cancer research while they sleep, we’re building a better tomorrow.
Through the Vodafone Foundation, we support our local communities through fundraising and volunteering activities. We also support projects that improve people’s lives through the application of technology, across health, education and disaster relief. Every Vodafone employee has the opportunity to play their part, directly or indirectly, to support this vital work.
As one of the Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies to Work For 2018, and a 2019 Stonewall Top 100 employer, we’re building an inclusive culture where everyone is respected, can be themselves and strive to be their best. That way we can build a better future for our employees, our partners, the communities we work in and our customers.
We’re proud to develop young talent, too. Our Discover programme gives graduates from different degree backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, grow their knowledge and start shaping the future they want.
We offer opportunities across Vodafone, with Technology, Commercial, Business, Finance, External Affairs, Consumer and Digital Operations & Automation programme streams, at our Newbury and London (Paddington or Southwark) locations.
Wherever graduates join us, they progress with on-the-job learning from industry experts, structured development and real responsibility from the start. We encourage them to be curious, to ask questions and share their ideas. And we give them all the scope and support they need to become experts and leaders in their field.
We’re committed to helping all our graduates to perform at their best and achieve their full potential.
On our two-year rotational programmes graduates benefit from structured training and development combining classroom, digital and on-the-job learning with industry leaders and experts. With constant feedback and guidance from line managers and mentors to support their career goals, they can build their experience, skills and knowledge with stretching opportunities and hands-on responsibility. And, as well as investing in graduates’ personal development, we offer support and sponsorship to gain professional qualifications on some programme streams.
We recognise that the first few months of starting a new job can be overwhelming; meeting new colleagues, mastering new skills and tackling new responsibilities. That’s why we’ve created a digital toolkit of supportive learning content for graduates. Some activities are individually led, while others involve working in small learning groups, drawing on others’ experiences and building a strong, supportive network. It’s all designed to help graduates build the skills and resilience to take on any new challenge.
