About this Apprenticeship opportunity: 

Are you looking for the opportunity to study alongside working for a company that is focused on the biggest challenges in the world today? 

We are excited to be looking for a Apprentice Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer based in Knutsford! You will work towards achieving a Electrical Engineering (Nuclear Scientist and Nuclear Engineer -Integrated Degree).

About the opportunity 

At Jacobs, our Decommissioning & Regeneration Solutions business brings decades of experience to decommissioning and clean-up, drawn from our work at the world’s most challenging nuclear sites. Safety case management, environmental and radiological consultancy, and health physics support go hand in hand with our core engineering capabilities, ensuring an unrelenting safety ethos.

We apply strategies to minimise waste volumes requiring final disposal and we implement innovative decommissioning and decontamination processes for U.K. clients including Sellafield Ltd., Magnox Ltd and Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 120 UCAS points (equivalent of three B’s at A-Levels) 
  • A flexible and proactive self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills 
  • The ability to adapt and prioritise whilst juggling work and study priorities 
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems 
  • Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements 
  • A well-rounded person – have you travelled around the world? Worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us – we’re looking for people with interesting stories and experiences! 
  • You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
