Due to Economic, Regulatory and Safety constraints, asset owners across most sectors are now required to optimise the use of their assets on a whole life cycle basis balancing cost, risk and level of service, ensuring operational efficiency and maximising value.
This means that there is very high demand for asset management consultancy services, ie – strategic consultancy, GIS capture, asset modelling (including deterioration, long term behaviour, intervention strategy etc), decision support tools and data systems to support the above. In addition, owners are looking to embed these services into the design and implementation of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, such as Ellipse/SAP which will ultimately include all their business processes to maximise value and return on their asset investment with certainty.
The asset management team require a graduate with a suitable IT or computer science degree to assist them with:
Object oriented systems design.
Relational database management systems (rdms) design and implementation.
Complex data manipulation.
Graphical user interface design and implementation.
Design of statistical predictive mathematical models.
Works under direction from senior team member.
Shares information with the team.
Community of Practice (CoP) member where relevant.
Participant in graduate program.
Demonstrates personal commitment to the team.
Reviews and checks own and others’ work to ensure consistency and appropriate quality.
Work within a demanding high-quality culture and innovative approach.
Compliance with client specifications, relevant legislation, Jacobs standards, and instructions from senior team members.

A 2.1 degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research or a similar numerate subject.
Proactive and willing to take responsibility.
Good communication, report writing and presentation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
A high level understanding of descriptive statistics, probability and inference.
Demonstrable experience of modelling, option analysis and optimisation.
